about
One big cherry red barn. One drumset. One Guitar. Two microphones (at most). Mr. Joe Kenny enters and till this day can't quite recall what happened in the next following 36 hours..Luckily most of it was recorded...
After many weeks of contemplating doing the RPM Challenge that pushes artists to write, create, and record 10 songs in the month of February, Joe finally makes a decision. With the three days in Feburary he had left, he decides to go all out. He had the songs, he just needed to sit down and press the record button.
Joe recorded all instruments..acoustic guitar, bass, electric guitar, vocals, solos, and most importantly, he made his drumming debut. Knowing his drumming skills were a little washy, and not defined by any means, he went for it anyway, to push through and get the 9 songs done before March 1st.
And yet, like most years, he didn't finish on time. The songs were done but there was lots of editing, and more editing, and even more editing...So after knowing that he wasn't going to make the deadline, he has spent the last few weeks mixing and mastering 5 of the 8 songs. Here is third song.."Tell Somebody."
lyrics
Why don't you tell somebody, you're not feeling good
Don't think anybody would be believe if I could
Somethings changing, it all changes
something's changing like the way I used to walk
I am just saying I can't stop
Why can't you give me a reason, just a reason why
It will feel like treason to all my little lies
something's changing, it all changes
something's changing like the arm on your clock
I am just saying it won't stop
Everything's just like a needle on the wall
you see it then you just stall in the wall
You just tell somebody, you're not feeling good
Don't assume anybody will pick you up when they should
something changes, it all changes,
somethings changing like the kids on your block
I am just saying, I am just saying
I am just saying, it can't stop
I am just saying, I am just saying
It always changes
